We invest across all sectors but have a particular focus on four industry sectors, where we have a good network and understanding of the market dynamics, and a track record of investment in our investment size range.
We have a strong track record of investing in this space, and we are particularly interested in investments in the Leisure, Food and Beverage, Specialist Retail and FMCG sectors. We look to back high quality management teams from strong brands in growing sub-sectors, which offer rollout or consolidation potential as well as product or channel extension opportunities.
We have made strong-performing investments in insurance, consumer and speciality finance and wealth management, and we are now looking to invest in market-leading businesses within specific sub-sectors that have attractive dynamics. We believe that, despite the recent crisis, the sector remains a core part of the economy and, as it adapts, provides attractive opportunities for investment.
The Healthcare market remains an attractive proposition as countries seek to address increasing demands on state systems by working with private sector providers. We will therefore continue to invest in this sector, especially in healthcare services and consumer healthcare.
Although this sector is broad, our primary focus lies in segments benefitting from long term growth drivers and reduced cyclicality e.g. aerospace & defence, renewables, industrial products and water.
From an investment perspective, we define the Support Services sector to include technology service opportunities. This broad sector benefiting from increased outsourcing, recurring revenue streams and increasing legislation and regulations. It is a broad and diverse sector, and Bridgepoint has invested in 20 Support Services businesses in eight European countries. Our focus is on market-leading companies with the potential to grow faster organically or consolidate through 'buy and build' opportunities.
